I am an information and referral specialist with Montgomery County. The general public can call with just about any human service need and I direct them to the goods and services to meet those needs. I frequently give phone numbers to local agencies for food pantry, legal support, Veterans Services, Home Health Care, Child Care, etc. The Community Connections Office does not have funds to pay bills or save residents from eviction but I can provide employment resources and housing resources to help them, help themselves through a crisis. I can also do minor advocacy if a resident is stuck and having difficulty accessing a particular service.
